Dr. Jose Fernando Barba Flores
Dermatologist
Dr. José Fernando Barba Flores is the third generation of a renowned family of Dermatologists, a specialist in skin cancer and an expert in conducting Mohs Micrographic Surgery. Mohs Micrographic Surgery is the best treatment for most skin cancers, since it provides the highest cure rate (up to 99% for certain tumors) while leaving the smallest scar possible.
Dr. Barba completed his medical studies as a physician, surgeon and midwife at the University of Guadalajara in 2008. He specialized at the Dermatological Institute of Jalisco in 2014 and received his certification as a Dermatologist from the Mexican Council of Dermatology in the same year. Dr. Barba holds a subspecialty in Dermatological Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology and completed graduate studies in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at the Autonomous University of Buenos Aires in Argentina in 2016.
He has been and continues to be a speaker at several national and international conferences in the field of Mohs Micrographic Surgery, skin cancer and advanced facial reconstruction.
