Every year, a large number of adults and children suffer from a variety of lung diseases and disorders which affect the overall quality of their life. Chronic lung diseases can seriously affect the life and wellbeing of an individual; difficulty in breathing and the resultant low oxygen content in the body can have adverse affects on the entire body.
Pulmonary disorders are caused by any lung disease which affects the function of the lungs. There are three broad categories of lung disease- airway diseases, lung circulation, and lung tissue diseases. An individual suffering from a pulmonary disorder caused by any of these conditions requires immediate attention from a specialized physician who can diagnose the condition and offer proper treatment before the condition worsens.
In many cases, the disease worsens to such an extent that the surgery is prescribed for the health of the patient. Since specialized treatment is very expensive and it is hard to get appointment from specialists from surgeons who are already burdened, many patients and their families opt for a more feasible and suitable option, that is, consultation and surgery in Mexico.
Physicians in Mexico are highly qualified and trained and have certified accreditations from some of the most renowned medical bodies in the world. These professionals offer quality healthcare treatment, on par with the best specialist treatments in developed countries of the world, all affordably priced.
With high quality healthcare treatment at a fraction of the cost charged in the United States and Canada, many people opt for medical travel and consult a physician from across the border.
Types of Lung Diseases
The three main types of lung diseases which affect the populace include,
Lung Tissue Diseases
This type of disease affects the overall structure of the lung tissue in the body. Any kind of inflammation or scarring on the tissue surface makes it difficult for the lungs to expand to their full capacity. This is also referred to as restrictive lung disease.
The scarring on the tissue surface makes it difficult for the lungs to inhale oxygen properly and exhale any carbon dioxide. Deep breathing is difficult for the patient, and most complain of a feeling of wearing a sweater or vest which is too tight for them, restricting their breathing. Some common chronic pulmonary disorders caused by lung tissue disease include sarcoidosis and pulmonary fibrosis.
Airway Diseases
In this vein of the disease, the lungs and the tubes responsible for carrying the oxygen into and out of the lungs are affected. The disease typically causes a blockage or narrowing of the airways which affects the tubes leading to the organs.
Some of the most common pulmonary disorders caused by the airway diseases include asthma, bronchiectasis, emphysema and chronic bronchitis. Patients suffering from this category of pulmonary disorders experience constricted breathing and explain the sensation as if trying to draw in air through a straw.
Lung Circulation Disorders
Lung circulation disorders affect the blood vessels within the lungs. The disease is caused by clotting, inflammation, and scarring of the tissues within the blood vessels. This condition adversely affects the ability of the organs to take in any oxygen and exhale any carbon dioxide properly and may also affect cardiac health eventually.
A common example of this type of lung disease is pulmonary hypertension.
Some lung diseases tend to be a combination of the three different types of diseases. If that is the case, it becomes critical to seek expert advice from a doctor and get a surgery done if recommended and prescribed by the doctor.
Pulmonary Disorders
There are a number of different pulmonary disorders which threaten the health, and overall wellbeing of both the old and the young for life. Certain disorders prove to be chronic and require specialized treatment and even complex surgeries at times.
Some pulmonary disorders are caused by viral and bacterial infection while others are a result of acute allergies or reaction to alien agents in the surrounding environment. Pollution in the environment and contact with dangerous substances and fumes can seriously scar or damage the inner lining of the lungs, posing the threat of a serious pulmonary disorder. Some pulmonary disorders are:
-
Acute respiratory distress syndrome
-
Asthma
-
Cystic fibrosis
-
Silicosis
-
Lung cancer
-
Tuberculosis
-
Respiratory Syncytial Virus
-
Influenza
-
Pneumonia
-
Sarcoidosis
-
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
-
Bronchitis

WHO IS THE BEST PULMONARY SPECIALIST IN JALISCO????? CAN YOU GIVE ME THE NAME? MY DAUGHTER HAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH HER LUNGS AND NEEDS A PROPER DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT GRACIAS
Lung Cancer
I am diagnosed with (non-small cell lung cancer). The tumor is still small [3cm x 5cm] I have completed radiation treatment to shrink the tumor. I think it worked but they have not done the CT scan to see if it has shrunk. The tumor is not in the lung but on the outside edge of the lung and rib cage.
I am strong and in otherwise good health, my Dr, and physical therapist checked me over and said that I am strong and OK for surgery.
Next I need surgery to remove the tumor for which they do not do here for an affordable price. I need surgery to survive for a few more years while taking chemotherapy. This should not be a difficult surgery.
I can send you the biopsy report along with the new CT scan when I get it next week.
I need this done quickly for the best price. I will pay cash.
